Hello! I’m Christina A. Tillery, M.Ed., a community educator and scholar focused on enhancing youth mental health and well-being through Christina Tillery Consulting, LLC.

I earned my BA in History from the College of William & Mary. I spent four years teaching secondary social studies before pursuing my M.Ed. in Counselor Education, which I completed in December 2016. With over ten years in education, I now consult with organizations and schools to improve their services for young people.

In 2022-2023, I had the honor of being recognized as Virginia's School Counselor of the Year, which further fueled my commitment to advocating for equitable practices that support all students. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where my research focuses on creating safe spaces for Black girls and girls of color through youth-participatory action research.

Connecting with others is fundamental to my work. I believe that sharing our stories and experiences can help each other navigate life’s challenges. This belief drives my dedication to providing valuable insights and support to those working with young people.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy watching things grow, analyzing movies and television shows, wading in water, and exploring new topics through self-teaching. I also prioritize serving my community.

This website is a platform for my ideas, thoughts, and services. I welcome you to reach out—I'd love to connect!

We’re in this together!
