My research explores school-based mental health resources for girls of color, focusing on how youth-led interventions and support can positively impact student outcomes. Within this sphere, I am particularly intrigued by youth voices in developing resources and strategies that are relevant and beneficial to support their mental health. Additionally, I am committed to unraveling barriers to equitable access to post-secondary options, envisioning a future where every girl of color can navigate educational trajectories with confidence and opportunity.

This study builds on past research, revealing that various leadership practices, such as modeling and collaboration, strongly predict comprehensive school counseling program implementation, along with exposure to the ASCA National Model and working in a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP), providing crucial insights for today's educational context.
Tiered supports for the class of 2021 in unprecedented times: A high school counseling department's journey.
Amid the compounding challenges of COVID-19 and the United States' racial reckoning, this study presents a practitioner-focused case of a high school counseling department integrating multitiered systems of support (MTSS) into their comprehensive school counseling program during the 2020–2021 school year, showcasing school counselors' dedicated efforts to enhance graduation rates in the face of virtual learning, racial disparities, and resource constraints.
